Nick Stutsman has posted an update on the upcoming Canadian Wedding record  here . He said: I’ve been working on this album for a bit. I started it wanting it to be a full band project, writing the songs myself and recording them as more than just me and an acoustic guitar. That didn’t really happen so things are changing again. Maybe, probably, for the better. #1 - I still have a broken ankle so I haven’t really been playing shows. I probably won’t be walking ‘til February. Shit sucks. But once I’m walking, we’ll be playing some more midwest shows. #2 - Since these songs didn’t end up being full band, I didn’t want to continue writing the album the way it was going, but also don’t want to just not use these songs. So I’ll be releasing an EP titled “Keep Count” with these songs (dates not totally figured out yet) and then write the album over, which brings us to #3 - Writing the album with a bunch of people because I feel like it’ll make it a lot better/more what I want. Future Ghosts have decided to change their name to Unifier  following recent difficulties. Statement from U NIFIER  (formerly Greensboro ’s  Future Ghosts ): Due to the unfortunate events surrounding the name Future Ghosts in the past week, we have elected to seek out a new name and brand for ourselves. We had originally hoped to come to some sort of understanding in a timely manner that would allow us to retrieve our sites and move forward. However, it became clear to us that there would be no quick or easy resolution, and also seemed apparent that we would not be taken to court over the issue. Our only focus as a band should be to write, play and release music - goals which this situation was seriously obstructing. All of our plans for the release of the new album were being strained, and we did not want to push the date back any longer. Rather than waste any more time, we began work to find a new name, alter artwork, create new websites, and remove the sour taste from

 Vegas , NV  punk rock band  Last Call  have posted a FREE holiday song titled “ The Duke’s Real Name Was Marion Morrison”  here .    The band said:  “We originally wrote ‘Duke’ for Punks In Vegas' 2011 holiday compilation. We decided that we wanted to release it proper this year, and we recorded it in my basement and sent the tracks to our good buddy Paul Miner to mix and master.
