How did the label come about and what's the story so far? 

We (Nikolas & Dennis) founded the label in 2008 to release the first EP of our own Band Always Wanted War. We never had any big plans and all of a sudden we're on release number 26 by now. And we are really proud of every single release so far. 

What are your plans for the label in 2013? 

[We have] no particular plans but we have some sweet releases coming up like the new Olde Pine EP on tape, the Tiger Magic LP or the Ashtray Monument 7". These will be out soon. We have slight ideas for more releases this year but that's still too far away. And this March we (ALWAYS WANTED WAR) will be on tour along the East Coast with Ghost Cat from Florida, we really want to help them out with the next EP. 

What's important in the bands that you work with? How do you choose bands to work with? 

Most bands we work with are good friends. It's not uncommon, that when a friend tells us that he has a new band, we tell him that we'll help with the release without even hearing a single song in advance. It's all about friendship. Sometimes when we listen to stuff that we like a lot we just ask the guys if they would like to work with us. And now it's actually the first time that we release an LP for a band that simply sent in a demo and we just loved it, even if we don't know the guys in person. This will be the Tiger Magic LP. 

What's your overall aim for the label?  

It probably should be to not lose too much money with it, hahaha. Actually, we never really had big plans for the label, we are more than stoked that it got as big as it is right now. For example: the fact, that you (or anyone else who did in the past) asked us about an interview is just awesome, the label gets noticed more and more and I think we kind of have a good reputation, people just buy records because it's a new "Marcello" release, without even knowing the band. That's just incredible and for us it's just great if we can help bands to get noticed this way. And it's just a good way to do things with friends and to keep in touch with friends, as I said: it's all about friendship.
